Red Herring

The wedding was a modern twist on the classic combination of black and white. The contemporary décor at the Red Herring was complemented with black table runners running the length of the rectangular tables. Each guest table was decorated with a tall bulb vase filled with white orchids and lilies and large black and white ostrich feathers. The vase was embellished with a black satin ribbon fastened with a diamante buckle. Black ribbon was also used through to the decorate each napkin and the look was finished with a touch of soft white feather and fresh white orchid head. Staggered height goblet tea light holders around the base of the vase and simple clear glass votive holders created a warm candlelit feel around the room. On each men’s chair a black fedora hat was hung and ladies were treated to a black feather boa, a decoration which doubled as a wedding favour and added to the overall festivities of the night.

The bridal table was finished with a textured black organza band and a long and low arrangement full of orchids, lilies and greenery. Large black and white ostrich plumes cascaded from the arrangement and over the front of the bridal table. Illuminated light plinths were placed around the room and decorated with large arrangements of matching flowers and feathers.
