Fraser's Restaurant and Observation Deck

Photographer Rob Watson

Susan and Daniel's wedding was truly a night to remember. No expense was spared to celebrate their union. Fraser's restaurant offers two unique function areas and the McGinn's incorporated both. On arrival guests were welcomed into the marquee on the fabulous Observation Deck for pre-dinner drinks and canapés. The area was set up cocktail style taking advantage of the exquisite view over Kings Park, the Swan River and the city lights. The marquee had a lounge feel with stylish white ottomans, couches and coffee tables dotted around the space. Black illuminated plinths created pedestals for large arrangements of orchids and roses. Small stylish mirror boxes full of green roses and disbuds finished the tall cocktail with a stylish yet understated look.

Guests were then invited to move downstairs to the function centre for a sit-down dinner. The table centrepieces made a statement, alternating between tall martini vases filled with green, white, and coffee coloured flowers and large mirror boxes with matching arrangements. Lots of vintage tea lights created a fantastic glow against the large mirrors on each table.

Black and white was the theme for the linen with black organza table runners matching the long and elegant sashes on each chair. The bridal table reflected style with a mirrored front and mirror troughs full of roses, carnations and disbuds in matching colours.

After dinner the guests retreated back to the Observation Deck for cocktails and dancing. The couple cut the fabulous art deco cake and guests were treated to a specially organised fireworks display from the Swan River, representative of the magic of the evening.

The couple, friends and family danced the night away on the custom black and white dance floor to the smooth sounds of Leo Sayer! A surprise gift for the bride from her parents.
