St Joseph's Subiaco

The Hyatt Ballroom

Kate and Gary wanted something completely different, having both worked in hospitality and seen many weddings, they wanted something no-one had ever seen or expected.

The tables at the reception in the Hyatt Ballroom alternated between four bold colours to match the bridesmaids. Chair sashes and table runners matched on each table and interchanged between lime green, fuchsia pink, deep purple and tangerine orange. On each table was a tall martini vase with a large arrangement of green, purple, orange and pink orchids and pink and orange lilies with tropical greenery. At the base of each vase were square tea lights with coloured shards in the base to match the runner and floating candles. Bright orchid heads were scattered at the base and sat in a loop of brightly coloured cord that was tied around each napkin.

Kate and Gary's bridal table had an eye catching long and low floral arrangement with matching brightly coloured blooms. Four large statement arrangements were placed around the room on illuminated Perspex plinths and conversation corners were created with stylish white leather ottomans. Lighting was an important factor and Perth Audio Visual created a party atmosphere with coloured spotlights against white draping and a gobo light with the bride and groom's initials.

The newlyweds were extremely generous with their wedding favours and each guest received a live Bonsai tree. Family members and guests that traveled to attend the happy occasion were also treated with gifts from Oroton.
